Choosing to Recycle the Unrecyclable
We have developed a specialised process to upcycle plastics that are traditionally considered unrecyclable. Most plastic products can simply be melted down and recycled for other products eventually these plastics reach a point where they can no longer be recycled.
Plastics that are laminated such as washing softener refill packs, plastic films and wrapping, along with a variety of Single-use plastics. The manner in which these plastic products are made is the problem. Different plastics are laminated together to give a required look and feel. however they are unable to be “delaminated” and therefore cannot be used in the normal recycling process. Thus the term Single-use plastics (SUP).
We have developed a way to melt these plastics down and inject them into our molds it’s a complex process that we have successfully created. By doing so we divert tones of plastic that is considered no longer recyclable and end up in our landfills, oceans & waterways. This is our contribution to saving the world one plank at a time.
